Sometimes, Products in RICS may not be deleted. The system places some restrictions on when the user may delete Products in order to maintain data integrity.
Products may not be deleted if:
- The user does not have permission to delete products (the “Setup : SKUs – Delete” action).
- The organization where the user is navigated is not the organization where the Product was created.
- There is on-hand inventory for the Product.
- There is in-transit inventory for the Product.
- There are scanned items for the Product.
- There are nonzero Physical Inventory records for the Product that have not yet been applied.
- There are unreceived Transfer Orders for the Product.
- There are open unreceived Purchase Orders for the Product.
- The Product exists on an open Special Order or Layaway transaction.
- The Product was on a POS ticket within the Void Window (defaults to the first day of the previous month).
- The Product is on a Pending Order that was shipped within the Void Window (defaults to the first day of the previous month).
- The Product is on an active or partially-shipped Pending Order.
- There is non-sellable inventory for the Product.
- The Product was on a Non-Sellable Batch that was completed since the first day of the previous month (note that this does not use the Void Window configuration).
- The Product is the target of a Product Merge that is currently in progress.
