How to Receive a Transfer Order

The Receive Transfer Order feature enables retailers to receive product shipped by another store or warehouse location within the RICS Back Office via a transfer order to manage and audit transferred versus shipped quantities.

RECEIVE A TRANSFER ORDER – IN FULL
Follow the steps below to receive a transfer order in full.

1. In the RICS Back Office, go to Inventory :: Receiving :: Receive Transfers at the Store level

2. To select a transfer order, enter or search for a transfer order number in the Transfer Order # LookUp field

Note: After the transfer order is selected, the transfer order details will display.

3. Click Receive Full Order

Note: Receiving a transfer order in full should only occur if all items on the shipment have arrived and the user has verified the transferred quantity matches the shipped quantity.

4. When prompted, click Yes to receive all items on a transfer order

5. Click the SKU Detail tab, then click Print Log to generate a receiving log on the Report History screen

 

RECEIVE A TRANSFER ORDER – SKU DETAIL
Follow the steps below to receive a transfer order via the SKU Detail tab.

1. In the RICS Back Office, go to Inventory :: Receiving :: Receive Transfers at the Store level

2. To select a transfer order, enter or search for a transfer order number in the Transfer Order # LookUp field

Note: After the transfer order is selected, the transfer order details will display.

3. Click the SKU Detail tab

4. Click the SKU to be received from the SKU List window

Note: After the SKU is selected, the SKU details and SKU grid will populate.

5. If necessary, modify the received quantities

6. Click Save SKU

Note: If the received quantities were modified in Step 5, the user will be prompted to continue receiving a different quantity than transferred. Click Yes to continue with the adjusted quantities, or click No to adjust the received quantities.

7. Repeat Steps 4-6 for all remaining items in the transfer order

8. Click Print Log to generate a receiving log on the Report History screen

 


RECEIVE A TRANSFER ORDER – SCANNING
Follow the steps below to receive a transfer order via the Scanning tab.

1. In the RICS Back Office, go to Inventory :: Receiving :: Receive Transfers at the Store level

2. To select a transfer order, enter or search for a transfer order number in the Transfer Order # LookUp field

Note: After the transfer order is selected, the transfer order details will display.

3. Click the Scanning tab

4. Scan all the UPCs for the items to be received in the transfer

5. After scanning the last item, click Add to account for the last UPC scanned

6. Click Save Scanned Items

Note: All remaining transferred quantities will remain on the transfer order until received or reconciled.

7. Click Print Log to generate a receiving log on the Report History screen

 


RECEIVE A TRANSFER ORDER – UPLOAD
Follow the steps below to receive a transfer order via the Upload tab and a Datalogic Memor portable reader.

1. In the RICS Back Office, go to Inventory :: Receiving :: Receive Transfers at the Store level

2. To select a transfer order, enter or search for a transfer order number in the Transfer Order # LookUp field

Note: After the transfer order is selected, the transfer order details will display.

3. Click the Upload tab

4. Connect the Datalogic Memor portable reader to the computer

5. Click the Upload From Reader option

6. Use the Reader Type dropdown menu to select DataLogic Memor

7. Click Get Data From Reader

8. In the File Dialog box, name the uploaded file and click Save to store the file on the computer

Note: After the file is uploaded the user will receive a message verifying the file has been uploaded successfully.

9. Click the Scanning tab

10. Click Save Scanned Items

Note: All remaining transferred quantities will remain on the transfer order until received or reconciled.

11. Click Print Log to generate a receiving log on the Report History screen
