RICS is enhancing our inventory management experience with the ability to connect with many of the Brands you sell in your stores.

Initial Benefits:

· Use Product Catalog data provided directly from Brands to save time and improve data quality
· Add Products to your Store through multiple workflows in the RICS Back Office
· Enable Brands providing Product Catalog data to see on-hand inventory quantities and sell-thru for their products only
· Reduce overall time spent on non-sales activities in your stores

The roadmap for Brand Connectivity includes seamless and suggestive ordering, vendor managed inventory capabilities, at-once visibility to Brand Inventory, and analytics to drive store profitability.

FAQs

How do I import a product if it says “Product already exists” but I do not have all variants or UPCs for that SKU?

To resolve this issue, follow the steps below:

  1. Delete all manufacturer UPCs from the existing SKU
  2. Import the new SKU through the product catalog
  3. Merge the newer SKU into the existing one so that sales history is retained

How do I change the SKU name for a SKU imported through the product catalog?

SKU names can be modified from the Manage SKU page.

 

How do I change the color for a SKU imported through the product catalog?

Color can be modified from the Manage SKU page.

 

How do I change the class for a SKU imported through the product catalog?

Class can be modified from the Manage SKU page.

 

How can I change the grid for a SKU imported through the product catalog?

If a SKU has not yet been used (sales, purchase orders, receipts, etc.), its grid can be changed on the Manage SKU page.

 

If a SKU has already been used, follow the steps below:

  1. Create a New SKU with the correct grid
  2. Merge the Old SKU with the incorrect grid into the New SKU

How can I start over and re-import a SKU?

If a SKU has not yet been used (sales, purchase orders, receipts, etc.), it can be deleted on the Manage SKU page.

 

If a SKU has already been used, follow the steps below:

I don’t see the catalog I’m needing; how can I request a new supplier’s catalog?

A new catalog may be requested by visiting the Gobal Product Catalog page in your RICS back office then clicking the “Missing a supplier?” icon found in the upper left-hand corner of the page.
