The RICS>Pay tipping feature is only available on the RICS>Checkout app. The tipping feature is fully configurable. If you are interested in enabling the tipping feature, please contact RICS Support. Once enabled, you will be able to follow the steps below to configure, and utilize, the tipping feature. 

How to enable the RICS>Pay Tipping Feature for all locations

1.  Login to the portal. Note: if you do not have a login for the portal, please reach out to RICS Support for assistance with creating your user.

2.  From the top menu bar, select 'Settings”. 

3.  Scroll down to find the Tips settings. 

4.  Toggle 'Enable Tipping' on

5.  Select your preferred 'Tip Selection Type'

• Percentage - Allows the customer to tip a percentage of the transaction total
• Amount - Allows the customer to enter or select a fixed dollar amount to tip, regardless of the transaction total.

6.  Choose whether to Customize 'Other' tip option

• If off, an 'Other' tip option will display on the terminal for the customer to enter a custom tip amount. 
• If on, a fifth tip option will populate that can be customized in the portal.

7.  Customize the 'Tip Options'. These will be the tip amounts the customer will see as available options during checkout. Note: There will always be a default 'No Tip' option the customer can select during checkout.

8.  Click 'Save Changes'

How to enable the RICS>Pay Tipping Feature for a single location

1.  Login to the portal. Note: if you do not have a login for the portal, please reach out to RICS Support for assistance with creating your user.

2.  Click on the location where you want to enable the tipping feature.

3.  From the left side menu, select 'Settings'. 

4.  Scroll down to find the Tips settings.

5.  Toggle 'Enable Tipping' on

6.  Select your preferred 'Tip Selection Type'
