RICS>mPOS: MANAGING CUSTOMER PROFILES

OVERVIEW

The customer profile in the RICS>mPOS is used to capture customer data. 

This article is a guide to help retailers:

Add a New Customer to the Shopping Cart

Follow the steps below to create a new customer profile inside the RICS>mPOS shopping cart:

  1. Login to the RICS>mPOS
  2. Tap ‘Tap to choose or add a Customer…’

  1. Tap ‘Add New Customer’

  1. Enter customer profile information; available fields include:
    • First Name
    • Last Name
    • Email Address
    • Phone Number
    • Birthday
    • Notes
    • Tax Exempt ID
    • Gender
    • Shipping Address
    • Billing Address

  1. Tap ‘Add a Customer’

  1. See customer added to the shopping cart

Note: If a retailer’s frequent buyer program is set to auto-enroll new customers, the customer profile will contain a heart icon indicating they are enrolled in a frequent buyer program.

 

 

 

Modify a Customer in the Shopping Cart

Follow the steps below to modify a customer profile inside the RICS>mPOS shopping cart:

  1. Login to the RICS>mPOS
  2. Tap ‘Tap to choose or add a Customer…’

  1. Type the customer’s name, email, or phone number into the search field

  1. Swipe left on the appropriate customer profile to reveal the ‘Edit’ button; tap ‘Edit’

  1. Make any needed modifications to the available fields

  1. Tap ‘Update Customer’

  1. See customer added to the shopping cart

Add a New Customer Outside of the Shopping Cart

Follow the steps below to create a new customer profile outside the RICS>mPOS shopping cart:

  1. Login to the RICS>mPOS
  2. Tap the customer management icon

  1. Tap ‘+ Add a New Customer…’

  1. Enter customer profile information; available fields include:
    • First Name
    • Last Name
    • Email Address
    • Phone Number
    • Birthday
    • Notes
    • Tax Exempt ID
    • Gender
    • Shipping Address
    • Billing Address

  1. Tap ‘Add Customer’

  1. See newly created customer profile

Modify a Customer Outside of the Shopping Cart

Follow the steps below to modify a customer profile outside the RICS>mPOS shopping cart:

  1. Login to the RICS>mPOS
  2. Tap the customer management icon

  1. Type the customer’s name, email, or phone number into the search field

  1. Tap the appropriate customer profile

  1. Tap ‘Update Profile’

  1. Make any needed modifications to the available fields
