This article provides troubleshooting steps for retailers who have already followed the RICS Link Troubleshooting Guide steps to ensure the latest version of RICS Link is running and are still being prompted to download and install RICS Link.
Clearing RICS Link Certificates
- Exit, then uninstall Rics Link application
- Open the Microsoft Management Console or MMC by searching mmc.exe in the Start menu
- Click File > Add/Remove Snap-in…
- Below ‘Available snap-ins’ double click ‘Certificates’
- Select 'Computer Account' and click Next
- Leave 'Local computer' selected and click Finish
- Click ‘OK’ to close the ‘Add or Remove Snap-ins’ screen
- In the center box of the MMC, double click ‘Certificates’
- Open the ‘Personal’ folder, then the ‘Certificates’ folder
- Look for 127.0.0.1 or localhost in ‘Issued To’ column. Should have a Friendly Name beginning with ‘RicsClient.’ Delete all that apply by right clicking and selecting Delete
- Confirm deletion by clicking Yes
- Open ‘Trusted Root Certification Authorities’ then ‘Certificates’
- Look for 127.0.0.1 or localhost in ‘Issued To’ column. Should have a Friendly Name beginning with ‘RicsClient.’ Delete all that apply by right clicking and selecting Delete
- Confirm Deletion by clicking Yes
- Close MMC selecting No to saving the console settings
- Re-install Rics Link
- The page should no longer prompt for you to install RICS Link
